Registration and Signup Information
Fees and other money issuesPayment ScheduleAs mentioned, the fee for Philmont for 2008 is $560.00. This is broken into 3 payments:
* This "reservation fee" is not refundable in the event you cannot, or decide not to, attend. It is transferrable within Troop 53 if someone else is wanting to take your place. All checks for fees must be made out to "Troop 53". Possible payment planJim and I have also discussed a possible payment plan so that you won't have to plunk down such significant wads of money. Basically, $50.00/month per participant would allow us to make all payments to Philmont on time and, assuming participants make payments each month from January, 2007, through July, 2008, gives us an initial working budget of $950.00/person. It's not a big deal if you miss a month or so, but be aware that you must have enough money in your "account" to cover fees by the deadlines above or you will be responsible for any balance owed. Other funds and opportunitiesOur incentive program normally applied to summer camp fees may be applied to Philmont. The participation period that would count toward Philmont is March 1, 2007 through February 29, 2008. Additionally, Fall 2007 popcorn sales ($1.00/item sold) may be applied as well. We will also be discussing money-making projects specifically earmarked for Philmont. Other important informationAll potential participants must read Philmont's Risk Advisory and Weight Limits document.
